She received her early education at the Convent of Jesus and Mary in Lahore. She wanted to be a doctor, and then enrolled in King Edward Medical College in the late 1980s. However, after the illegal admission controversy arose, she was forced to leave college without completing her degree.
In 1992, she married Safdar Awan at the age of nineteen and adopted the surname of her husband, Maryam Safdar. Awan was currently serving as a captain in the Pakistan Army and was Nawaz Sharif’s security officer under the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Credibly from October / 1st of 2017, there are three children from Safdar Awan’s journey: Ibn Junaid and Ibn Mahnoor and Mehranisa.
