Pakistan is all set to issue a new 75 Rupees note as part of celebrations to mark the country’s Platinum Jubilee. The new note has already been approved by the State Bank of Pakistan and will soon be in circulation. This is great news for collectors and numismatists who will now have another note to add to their collections!
The federal government has approved the design of a new 75-rupee banknote to commemorate Pakistan’s Platinum Jubilee. The note will be printed on local paper and will feature the anniversary dates of both Pakistan’s independence on 14 August 1947 and the founding of the State Bank of Pakistan on 1 July 1948.
This new banknote is a part of the Central Bank’s efforts to promote national unity and pride in Pakistan’s achievements. It will also serve as a reminder of the country’s rich history and culture. The new banknote will be released into circulation on 14 August 2022, the 75th anniversary of Pakistan’s independence.
75 Rupee New Note in Pakistan
The State Bank of Pakistan has reportedly approved the issuance of a new 75-rupee commemorative banknote. The note is said to be part of Pakistan’s larger plan to redesign all of its banknotes. The new 75-rupee note is said to be similar in size and color to the current 50-rupee banknote. It will reportedly feature a portrait of Pakistan’s founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, on the obverse side, and an image of the Badshahi Mosque on the reverse. The issuance of the new banknote is likely to be met with some opposition, as Pakistan is currently facing an economic crisis. However, the State Bank of Pakistan has insisted that the new banknote will help to promote tourism and GDP growth. Only time will tell whether the new 75-rupee note will be a success or a failure.
To mark Pakistan’s Platinum Jubilee, the State Bank of Pakistan is planning to issue a new note of Rs75 denomination. The nation will celebrate the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan on August 14, 2022.
State Bank of Pakistan has not issued any statement on whether it would issue a new note for Rs75. But, rumor says that this commemorative will be released in honor and celebration of currency’s 75th anniversary!
A special edition with an elite design-the color combination red & black seem appropriate since these were used by Pakistani general Boundary Commission during division into two separate countries which led to birth memorable slogan “ Grain Versions Flow InThe Face Of Bread Winners”
However, the central bank did release a commemorative coin of Rs75 last year to mark Pakistan’s 74th Independence Day. The coin is currently in use and is available for circulation.
This is not the first time that the State Bank of Pakistan has issued a commemorative coin or note. In the past, the central bank has released coins and notes to mark different occasions such as Pakistan’s 50th and 60th Independence Days, and also to commemorate anniversaries of national events such as the Pakistan Resolution Day.
