What are Prize Bonds?

Prize Bonds are a safe investment option offered by the Government of Pakistan to all Pakistani citizens. They are also known as Savings Bonds or Investment Certificates in Pakistan. Prize bonds are securities issued by the State Bank of Pakistan, which can be redeemed at par after they mature for five years (520 days). The only restriction is that these cannot be cashed before the bond matures period has passed and one must wait till it gets matured automatically.
